Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) is a program for parents and their children from birth thru age four. Our mission is to provide quality learning opportunities and resources for all families in our district. Contrary to the belief that raising children comes naturally, there is growing recognition that being a parent is extremely demanding and difficult work. ECFE recognizes that parents are children’s first and most significant teachers. It is our mission to strengthen families and enhance the ability of parents to provide the best environment for the healthy growth and development of their children. Please join us and other parents in supporting our district’s youngest learners in preparing them for school success.

Boy ScoutsYouth Development
Our Troop was established in 2003 and resides in the Dan Patch District of the Northern Star Council. We meet all year round every other Tuesday at St. Marks School in Shakopee (at the corner of Scott St. and 3rd Avenue). We aim to run a boy-driven program with an active advancement program where scouts can earn First Class rank in their first year. We have monthly outings that include camping trips, biking trips, hiking trips and district camporees. We also attend various summer camps each year. We have gone to Many Point Camp in northern Minnesota , Tesomas Camp and Tomahawk Scout Reservation in northern Wisconsin. In addition to the week long summer camps, the Troop participates in high adventure outings. In the past these have included Ok-Pik a deep winter camping experience, Double H and Philmont Scout Reservation in New Mexico, kayaking in Lake Superior and the Seabase Adventure in the Florida Keys.
