Scott-Carver Project Community Connect (PCC) provides a wide variety of services and hospitality to people in Scott and Carver counties who are struggling to meet basic needs. Based on a national model, this event provides services at one convenient location to those in our community who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. While homelessness may not be readily visible in our community, it does exist. A 2009 study conducted by the Scott-Carver Housing Coalition found 1,022 residents in the two counties - adults, youth and children - who had experienced homelessness. Good to Go Kids

Food Aid
Good to Go Kids is a community-based organization that provides food and school supplies to needy students in Minnesota. Every Friday, students participating in Good to Go can pick up a backpack at a designated area in the school. The backpacks will already be filled with food, such as bread, peanut butter, cereal, granola bars, rice, beans, macaroni and cheese, etc. They can take home their backpack, enjoy the food and return the backpack to school the following week. To ensure confidentiality, only first names and numbers will be printed on a tag attached to each backpack. Backpacks will be color coded for students with food allergies.
